Well we did it...

We have been back to Gadsden this weekend and had set a goal to buy a house before we returned. Well we found not one house but two! We put in an offer on one of the houses before we left and we're still waiting for the offer to be accepted. It happens to be a foreclosure and I have to say that not all foreclosures are easy to get. One might think that they would take just about anything to get it off their hands but no no that is not the case. Our first offer was countered and the agency had the nerve to say that they would be losing money if they accepted our offer. What? They must have overlooked the fact that the house has sat unoccupied on the market for almost one entire year! I think they actually lost money when they lent money to the people who couldn't pay them. Needless to say we countered back with a warning that it would be our final offer. We'll see if they take it, either way we win.

I must be crazy

I set up the new site for my latest venture. It can't be enough with all that I have going on right now, I just needed one small thing to take up what free time I have left. I decided to do a little deed on honor of my sweet baby boy Miller. I, along with Matt(if he agrees), we're going to start running races for all Miller's medical procedures in hopes that we'll get a few supporters and raise some money for the prune belly syndrome network. Anyone can join my team and everyone can look at our site www.runningformiller.blogspot.com Come on you know you want to!!!

Savannah

Once upon a time before Matt and I had kids we used to take some pretty random day trips to various places. We would wake up on a Saturday morning and decide to get out and explore the places around us. Since the kids came along those little excursions came to a halt until this past weekend. Since Matt has been traveling for work all the driving has gotten him a bit down. So I very bravely decided that we should meet up with him and take the kids to Savannah for the weekend! We had a great time and only a few minor melt downs and we made to through the weekend all intact. Now I will say that packing for three is quite a task and then the loading of the car can be pretty annoying but to top it off the dog has to go the the kennel. I did it all on my own and I did complain a bit but in the end it was well worth the effort. I wouldn't say I will be doing it again anytime soon but it was fun!

Family Photos

I try so very hard to get a family photo whenever I can and I have to say that it has proven to be a very difficult task. With just one kid it wasn't so bad but every time you add one it gets to be very challenging. I hope that everyone can understand why we didn't mail cute little Christmas cards this year. There were several attempts made and every time was pretty much a disaster.

Great Weekend!

We got to spend a great weekend with Matt. He didn't get come home until Sat. at lunch time but everyone was so super excited to see him. We had been really spoiled with the holidays, he go to to spend a lot of time with us and it was really hard to have this first full week back to work:( But we made it through and had a great time with him. Our was was shown very unexpectedly when he got back and we had zero time to pick up before the poor family had to walk into our madness, so I apologize to the people who looked at 210 Stonegate Drive on Saturday afternoon. It is now Monday morning and Matt is packing up to leave again, we hope to meet up with him in Savannah this weekend and have a fun time!

It's a new thing

So I thought I might give this a try and see if I can add one more thing to my list of things to do everyday. Honestly I think it may be kind of therapeutic for me to say the least. If you don't know what's going on in my life right now read on and I will give an update.

Matt accepted a new position which also meant that we would be moving yet again. Since his company is so wonderful they set us up with a relocation company to "help" us get things in order. Since they will eventually buy our house from us since this market sucks they insist that they have tons of appraisals and inspections done to their satisfaction. In the mean time we are supposed to be finding a new house in Alabama except we are so spoiled with the current house that we are not have very much success. Looking for a new house also requires us to actually drive to Alabama and stay multiple nights in a hotel room and drive around in a car for many hours, did I mention we are doing this with the kids?!? On top of that there have been a few major holidays that have fallen in between, thanksgiving, Christmas and new years! Who knew the vet would be closed the day after new years day, yes I mean Jan.2. How are you supposed to board a dog if no one is open?

So while I have this house/relocation stuff to deal with I also had Christmas to shop for and traveling to do for all Holidays. Madison managed to turn 4 somewhere in there too. So we had a birthday party to plan and let me say it was a dinosaur of a time. It just wouldn't be normal if we stopped there, so we had one more major issue to put on the already overloaded plate. Miller had his second surgery on December 3rd.

If reading this post has left you out a breath trust me I am finding it hard to catch my own breath just recapping the past 2 months. I guess I have failed to mention one very important piece of information, Matt had been traveling with his new job and he is gone from home 5 days out of the week! So being out of breath is not the best way to describe my current state, if you have kids you can understand that I am just plain CRAZY!! Do I have time to blog? The answer to that is NO! Do I need to blog? Well the answer to that is still up for grabs but like I said before I think it may be kind of therapeutic for me.
